Underfloor temperature control

The advanced functional principle of underfloor heating:

Underfloor temperature control uses the floor space of a room. This large surface means that you feel the same level of warmth at a lower temperature than a conventional radiator. The small difference in temperature between the floor and ambient air makes rooms extremely cosy.

The benefits of underfloor temperature control:

  • Great level of comfort thanks to even distribution of warmth
  • Economical as a result of high energy efficiency
  • Quick reaction time
  • Air hardly dries out
  • No dust circulation
  • Especially suited to partial surfaces

Easy to lay

with hot-water underfloor temperature control used as an example

Step 1:

A clean and level surface is required so that you can lay the fibre mats. To do this, place the heating mat at one side of the room and roll it out.

Step 2:

When you get to the end of the room, cut through the fibre material to which the heating lines are attached, fold the rest of the mat over to the side, attach it and roll it back in the opposite direction. There should be a gap of 8 cm between the individual lanes.

Step 3:

Now connect the heating lines to the existing central heating system and check that everything is properly sealed.

Step 4:

To finish off, fill in the mat with flexible, pourable bed mortar to create a flush surface (tiles) or cover with 5 mm of filler (other surfaces).
